Sample tasks for Vexic

Take a suitable request, replace the data with yours and check the answer. Each example says what to prepare and what result to expect.

Works in the browser on your computer and phone.

How to use the examples

These are sample scenarios with made-up data, not reviews or client results. Answers and design may differ depending on the model and your request. Check important numbers and facts against your source materials.

A presentation for a 30-person event

The topic, the audience, the duration, the number of slides and the source amounts. If you need your brand style, attach the logo and a sample design.

Make a presentation for an internal event for 30 people: the goal, a 2-hour agenda, the budget and the next step. The venue costs $1,200, the photographer $800, catering is $45 per person and materials are $15 per person. Add a 10% reserve. I need 5 PowerPoint slides, with no made-up reviews or statistics.

Result. Five editable slides: cover, goal and audience, agenda, budget, preparation. The budget shows $3,800 of main costs and a $380 reserve, $4,180 in total.

How to check. Check the total, the length of the agenda and how readable the table is. Then ask for one specific change, for example cutting the introduction to 15 minutes.

A budget with formulas and a reserve

The number of attendees, the cost items, unit prices and the reserve rule. Instead of a list you can upload a CSV or an existing Excel file.

Build an Excel file for an event: 30 attendees, venue $1,200, photographer $800, catering $45 per person, materials $15 per person. Put the number of attendees and the 10% reserve in separate cells. Totals must update through formulas. Add a sheet with notes.

Result. An .xlsx file with the inputs, per-row calculations and a grand total. For 30 people the total with the reserve is $4,180; for 40 people at the same prices it grows to $4,840.

How to check. Change the number of attendees from 30 to 40. Make sure the venue and the photographer stay fixed costs, while catering, materials, the reserve and the total update.

A report on a past event

The recipient, the purpose of the document, confirmed figures and the length you want. To match a template, attach the original .docx.

Write a one-page Word report for a manager. We planned for 30 people and 27 came. The budget with the reserve was $4,180, the actual spending was $3,920. Calculate the attendance and the difference in spending. Sections: result, figures, what to clarify before the next event. Do not make up attendee feedback.

Result. A .docx document with headings and a plan versus actual table. Attendance comes to 90%, and spending is $260 under budget. You can get a PDF on request.

How to check. Compare the figures with the source. The reasons for absences and the event rating cannot be derived from this data: they need to be clarified, not put in the report as facts.

A sign-up page for an event

The goal of the page, the audience, the agenda, real contacts and the form fields. Do not include personal data you do not need.

Make a sign-up page for an internal meeting for 30 people. It needs a 2-hour agenda, the venue, the organizer contact and a form with name and email. Leave the date, venue and contact as clear fields to fill in. Show me the page to check first, and we will publish it after the changes.

Result. A page with a clear agenda and a form. After you check it, you can publish it at a link on a paid plan or download the files and host them yourself.

How to check. Check the date and address you filled in, send a test sign-up and look at the page on a phone. Pages published at pages.vexic.ru are closed to search engines; to promote a separate site, download the files and host them on your own domain.

Comparing three services on terms you can verify

The names of the services or the criteria for choosing them, your country, the audience and the date the terms should be current for.

Compare three webinar services for 100 attendees. Check prices and limits on the official pages: duration, recording, exporting the attendee list and which payment methods work in my country. Suggest a plan first. In the report, give the check date and links, and list separately what you could not confirm.

Result. Once the plan is agreed, you get a report with a comparable table, links to the original sources and notes on unconfirmed terms.

How to check. Open the links to prices and limits before you buy. If some terms are only available after signing in or on request from the vendor, leave them as unknown.

Merging CSV files without losing rows

Files with the same fields, the format rules and the expected result. To reproduce an error, attach its full text and a minimal example.

Write a Python script that merges two CSV files with the columns date, category and amount. Bring the dates to one format and check that the amounts are numbers. Do not change the source files. Do not remove identical rows automatically: list them separately for review. Include the code and an example run.

Result. The source code, the merged CSV, a list of questionable rows and run instructions. When checked, the number of rows in the result should equal the sum of rows in the source files without headers.

How to check. Run the code on copies of small files. Check empty values, negative amounts and repeated rows. Review the code before using it in a production system.

Finding the differences between two versions of a document

Both files and a note on which one is newer. A scan must be readable; tables are better sent as the original Excel file if you have it.

Compare two versions of a guide. Make a table: section, before, after and what an employee needs to do. For each change, give the page or heading in the source file. Do not draw conclusions about missing pages or poorly recognized text.

Result. A list of changes with references to their places in the documents and a separate list of fragments that need a manual check.

How to check. Spot-check a few rows against the original, especially dates, amounts and negations. Clarify the unrecognized places and run the comparison again.

Meeting minutes from an audio recording

A clear recording and, if needed, a list of participants and special terms. For a long recording, name the priority topics.

Transcribe the meeting recording. Separately list the decisions, action items and open questions. Name an owner and a deadline only where they were actually stated. Mark unclear fragments, and do not guess the names of speakers.

Result. The text of the recording and short minutes. Action items without a stated deadline should stay without a made-up date.

How to check. Listen again to the places with names, amounts, deadlines and unclear speech. Ask it to mark assumptions separately from final decisions.

A product description from the specs

Verified specs, the audience, where it will be published, the length and an example of the right tone.

Write a description of a travel mug for a product page. Specs: 450 ml, stainless steel, lid with a valve, graphite color. I need a headline, a paragraph of up to 600 characters and four bullet points with specs. Do not add claims about how long it keeps drinks hot, leak-proofing or warranty: we do not have that data.

Result. A structured description you can edit in the chat. Unknown properties stay as questions for the supplier.

How to check. Check all the specs against the manufacturer’s page. Ask for a second version for a different audience, with the same facts.

Working through a problem from a photo

A photo of the whole problem, with no cut-off lines, figures or units. Take it in good light.

Read the problem in the photo and first write it out as text. If a symbol is unclear, ask about it. Then solve the problem step by step, explain why you chose the formula and check the answer by substitution. At the end, suggest a similar problem without the solution.

Result. The recognized problem, a step-by-step solution and an answer check. For example: from 3x + 7 = 22 we get x = 5; substitution gives 3 × 5 + 7 = 22.

How to check. First check the recognized numbers, signs and units. If the answer is right, try to solve the suggested similar problem on your own.

Notes and self-check questions

The study material, your level, the topic and the goal of the class. If needed, add the teacher’s requirements.

Make notes on the attached chapter to review before class. Keep the author’s definitions and notation and give the page numbers. At the end, write five questions without answers. After I answer, explain my mistake instead of just giving the right option.

Result. Short notes with the key concepts and tasks to check your understanding. You can go over the answers in the same chat.

How to check. Check the definitions and page references against the original. Retell the topic in your own words and mark the places that need more explanation.
